RhinoAg - Warehouse Picker / Packer I

RhinoAg is currently accepting applications to fill the position of 1st Shift Warehouse Picker / Packer, at its facility in Gibson City, Illinois (located 30 miles northwest of Champaign, IL and 30 miles east of Bloomington, IL). Under direct supervision, the 1st Shift Warehouse Picker / Packer locates, picks and packs orders for shipment to customers, stocks incoming material, picks "kits" for production requirements. Ensures all orders are accurate and properly packed. Performs job functions in an efficient and safe manner.

Essential Functions of the Job:
Follows all company and departmental safety rules including proper use of personal protective equipment
Maintains good housekeeping and a safe work environment
Reviews pick list, identifies items and locations in Distribution Warehouse
Picks order, relieves inventory, attaches order identification
Reports all inventory discrepancies to supervisor
Assembles customer orders from stock; prepares and palletizes orders to the packing station
Identifies product and picks/pulls orders as indicated by customer order; weighs or counts items and packages; accurately reviews the pack list and shipper information
Delivers orders to packing location in Distribution Warehouse and marks material with identifying information
Locates product that has been delivered to staging area and pack accordingly
Inserts packing slip into box, tapes packages and adheres address label for shipment
Uses hand tools, scanners (RF Scan Gun), banding equipment and scales
Picks up material from receiving location and places it in proper locations, updates inventory records
Operates various types of material handling equipment including Order Pickers, Lift Trucks and Pallet Jacks
Meets productivity requirements as outlined by supervisor
Communicates with supervisor on matters of safety, quality and production
Assists in training coworkers in proper work procedures and safety
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Requires judgment in determining proper packing methods
Requires accuracy in maintaining inventory records
Knowledge of Distribution Warehouse operation including order documentation, product identity and product location
Certified to operate required material handling equipment
Able to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
Minimum one year of applicable experience required
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
Must be physically capable of standing/working 8+ hour shift(s)
Must be able to climb ladders and or stairs
Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
Must be able to work in non-climate controlled areas
Must be able to wear required safety equipment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
